    Job Description

    Job Purpose

    Information System Consultant will play a pivotal role in ensuring the seamless operation, maintenance, and enhancement of our software systems. Your expertise in .NET, C#, Android development, and database management will contribute to the success of our projects. This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, configuring software and databases, and providing essential technical support to meet organizational objectives.

    Key Responsibilities 

    1. Proficient in languages/ platforms including .NET, C#, Android development, and similar tools.
    2. Strong command on databases including MySQL, SQL server. Be able to design, normalize, de-normalize databases and write procedures and optimize SQL.
    3. Maintain different types of software, including reporting and business applications.
    4. Installing, supporting, and maintaining servers or other computer systems, and planning for and responding to service outages and other problems.
    5. Scripting for database backups + Manual backups. Generate/Retain system backups.
    6. Liaise with the business units and support teams to configure hosting and data processing environment.
    7. Configure software’s and databases, webservers + data base servers. Coordinate and support on extending solution for data quality improvement and monitoring.
    8. Develop training material and conduct trainings and workshops on the developed system.
    9. Scripting for database backups + Manual backups. Generate/Retain system backups.
    10. Coordinate with operational staff in delivering value out of the implemented systems.
    11. Handover complete technical knowledge to govt counterparts once on board.
    12. Any other support as and when required by Labour department and Bureau of Statistics

    Requirements 

    • The position is located in Muzaffarabad. Only candidates who are willing to relocate to Muzaffarabad for the duration of the job will be considered for the position.
    • BS degree in Computer Science, Engineering or a related subject
    • 3+ years of practical experience in a medium sized organization preferably a CMMI level certified organization.
    • Certification is a definite plus
    • Three plus years writing code in .NET, C#, Database scripts and similar tools is a must. Testing software applications to production.
    • Able to conclude/deliver a software project on his/her own.
    • Complete working knowledge of software development lifecycle
    • Working experience in mobile application development.
    • Experience with configuring databases MySQL and SQL server.
    • Experience in the administration and performance tuning of application stacks (e.g., Tomcat, JBoss, Apache, Ruby, MySQL)
    • Solid scripting skills (e.g., shell scripts, Perl, Ruby, Python)
    • Networking knowledge (OSI network layers, TCP/IP)
    • DB replication; auto backups and DR management experience.
