Job Overview:
MicroMerger (Pvt.) Ltd, a leading consultancy firm, seeks a seasoned Finance and Accounting Executive for its Islamabad office. The Finance Executive will oversee all financial and accounting activities related to the project. This role requires a highly skilled professional with a comprehensive understanding of financial management, compliance, and reporting. The incumbent shall be responsible for following key functions, accountabilities and related duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Financial Management:
- Assist in project budget preparation and monitoring.
- Monitor and control project expenditures within budgetary constraints.
- Provide timely and accurate financial analysis and reports.
- Collaborate with department managers on financial matters impacting budgets.
- Assist contractual arrangements and ensure timely payments to partners and vendors.
- Accounting Operations:
- Handle day-to-day accounting operations (AP, AR, payroll, general ledger).
- Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting per organizational policies.
- Conduct regular account reconciliations.
- Maintain fixed asset reporting (depreciation, reconciliation).
- Assist in payroll disbursement.
- Liaise with tax advisors for timely tax statements and returns.
- Compliance and Audit:
- Comply with financial regulations and standards.
- Coordinate internal and external audits.
- Maintain and assist in internal controls.
- Team Support:
- Assist the Account and Finance Manager.
- Foster effective communication within the finance team.
Working Conditions:
- Frequent travel to other provincial or district offices.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting & finance role, preferably within the development sector or with an international or large organization.
- Strong knowledge of financial management, accounting principles, and regulatory requirements.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and accounting software.
- Ability to handle sensitive information with confidentiality and integrity.
- Fluency in English and Urdu is required; knowledge of an additional local language is an asset.
